Meet Our Leadership Team

Lead Pastor
Tim Groos
Tim was born in New York, grew up in Colorado, and graduated high school in Virginia in 2008. He surrendered his life to Christ in 2009. In the following years, he obeyed the calling into full-time ministry. After earning his associates degree at the local community college, he pursued both ministry and Biblical training in the Northeast.
In 2013, Tim met his wife, Emily. They were married one year later in 2014. They met serving the Lord and they l0ve serving the Lord together. They have three wonderful children, Annamarie, Liam, and Daniel.
Tim has a 1-year Bible Certificate from Word of Life Bible Institute and a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies from Northeastern Baptist College. Tim served as an Associate Pastor and Christian School Leader for 7 years in New England before coming to Crossroads in 2022.

Director of Missions, Elder
Terry Blake
Terry was saved in April of 1973 at the age of 17. He married the love of his life, Ruth, in 1976 and they are the proud parents of two children, Nathan and Rachel. Terry and Ruth are blessed to have nine grandchildren.
Terry graduated from Shiloh Bible Institute in 1997. He has been involved in short-term missions since 1986, and founded Shepherd’s Gate Ministry in 1995.
Terry has a passion in encouraging believers everywhere that they have a destiny to fulfill in Christ and that God has placed gifts and abilities in each one to fulfill that mission.

Elder
Mike Scholl
Mike is a 1999 graduate of Edison. He lived in the Akron/Canton area for several years for school and work before moving back to the Ohio Valley.
He and his wife Tera have two children: Seneca and Brycen. Mike was saved at the age of 32, and he and his family came to Crossroads early in 2017 while searching for a new church.
Mike was baptized by Pastor Jeff that same year and developed a hunger for God's Word.
Mike serves in various areas within the church.

Director of Youth Ministry
Roy Arbogast
In October of 2017, Roy was hired as full-time youth director. His vision for the youth is to send an army of teens into the community to change hearts and minds with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their motto is now, “Don’t amuse me but use me.”
Roy has been teaching since 1989 in community organizations, Sunday school classes, small groups, and eventually as a youth director.
Roy and his wife, Angela, have six kids of their own and a grandson. They have attended Crossroads since June 2014. Roy accepted Christ at a young age and grew
up serving his church and community. He studied business management in college until 1994 and owned his own business from 1996 until 2017.

Director of Worship Ministries
Charles Lingerfelt
Charles joined the Crossroads staff in 2019.
He grew up in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and accepted Christ at a young age. He recognized the call to ministry in 2005 and has been serving the Lord faithfully ever since. He earnestly desires to reach the lost, heal the broken, and teach others to do the same.
Charles met his wife, Amy, while attending John Brown University. Together, the Lord has blessed them with two sons, Noah and Samuel.
Charles has a Bachelor of Sciences in General Music with a minor in Worship Arts from John Brown University and a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from Central Christian College of the Bible.

Director of Children's Ministry
Kristina Gabel
Kristina is originally from the Philadelphia area where she grew up in church.
She accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the age of twelve. She is a graduate from Liberty University with a degree in women’s ministry and served as a youth minister before coming to Crossroads.
She moved to Wintersville in the winter of 2020. She is passionate about introducing children to Jesus and has a particular heart for children with special needs.

Nursery Coordinator
Heather Kachur
Heather was born and raised in Jefferson Country. She graduated from Edison in 2013 and currently lives in Wintersville.
In 2015, she met he husband, Michael, while working at Rue 21 Distribution Center. Two years later, they had their daughter Aria. They also have two older daughters from Michael's previous marriages, Emily and Mikayla.
Heather was baptized on May 21, 2019 and she and Michael married two days later. While looking for a new church in 2020, they found Crossroads and instantly felt at home.
Heather has a deep love for animals along with a passion for helping Jesus' littlest disciples get to know him.

Director of Women's Ministry
Nichole Northcraft
Nichole Northcraft serves as the Director of Women's Ministry, where she is committed to encouraging and supporting women in their walk with God.

Nichole is also part of the worship team, where she ministers through music alongside her husband, Jaime Northcraft. She is a passionate advocate for her special needs family and actively volunteers with Special Connections, a ministry committed to serving individuals with special needs.

A proud parent of three children—Madison, Selah, and Israel—and a grandmother of one, Nichole, her husband, and their family reside in New Cumberland, WV.

Director of Upward Ministry
Shawn Price
Shawn has been involved in Upward Sports for more than 15 years, starting as a coach, then moving to commissioner, and has been the director for the past six years. Shawn hopes that Upward plants seeds in area children which will one day draw them to Jesus.
Shawn grew up in the church and was baptized in May of 1985 at The Ohio Valley Christian Center in Steubenville, Ohio.
Shawn has been married to Jaime for 21 years and has two children, Owen and Samantha

Director of Technology
Bryan Carter
Bryan accepted Christ as a child at his home church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He started serving in tech in Children’s Church at the age of 12. After high school, he went to Mission,Texas to attend a discipleship program called Master’s Commission.
After Master’s, he joined the staff of Heartland Community Church in Oklahoma City as the Audio Engineer. After his dad passed away in January 2011, he moved back to Arkansas to help his mom. He met his wife, Brianna, shortly after.
Bryan and Brianna were married on November 9th, 2013. They now have four beautiful children, Aderes, Benaiah, Mahaliah, and Azariah.

Treasurer
Julie Artman
Julie joined the Crossroads team in 2007. She was saved at the age of twelve and was baptized at Crossroads in July of 2006.
Julie has an Associate's degree in Medical Technology from Jefferson Technical College and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Wheeling Jesuit University.
She is married to Elder, Curt Artman, and enjoys canning fresh fruits and vegetables from her garden.

Custodial Services Coordinator
Kayla Conley
Kayla grew up in Steubenville, Ohio, and although she had a great childhood, she became a lost sheep.
She gave her life to Jesus in 2013 and has fallen more in love with Him every day since then.
Her favorite thing to do is sit on her porch with a hot cup of coffee and get lost in God's word.
She has been married to her husband Jason for 7 years and they have 2 amazing children together, (twins) Abby and Gabe. Kayla has also been blessed with a bonus son, Jason's oldest child, Braydn.
Life is better with Jesus.

Administrative Assistant & Judgement House Director
Jess Conrad
Jess gave her life to Christ in May of 2023 and was baptized at Crossroads just a few months later in August. She married her husband—and fellow Crossroads member—JM Conrad in September of 2011, and together they are raising three awesome kids.
Jess joined the Crossroads staff in September of 2024 and also serves as the director of the Judgement House ministry. Outside of her ministry work, she’s also a licensed real estate agent in both Ohio and West Virginia.
Jess enjoys anything that allows her to be creative, especially event planning, graphic design, and volunteering at the church. She also loves gardening and spending time with her family. Her favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5–6, which reminds her to trust the Lord in all things and lean not on her own understanding.

DEACON
Ray Arbogast
Ray grew up in Follansbee and received Jesus as Savior following high school graduation. In 1977 he graduated from Great Lakes Bible College in Lansing, Michigan.
Ray and wife Leanna were encouraged to attend Crossroads by son, Ben Ramsey and his wife Jaime, and have found a home and place to serve.

One of his favorite verses is Colossions 3:17.

DEACON
Curt Barr
Curt and his wife Vicky were married on December 15, 1989. They are the parents of four children, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.​

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in June 1998.
​​
He is serving as a Deacon and also works with the Building Relationships ministry.​
He is retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. In his spare time, he enjoys building furniture in his woodshed as well as Construction on missions trips. His favorite Scripture is 2 Chronicles 7:14.

DEACON
Jaime Northcraft
After rededicating his life to Jesus in 2003, Jaime Northcraft married his wife Nichole, and they are the proud parents of three children (Madison, Selah and Israel) and have one granddaughter.​
Together, they actively serve on the worship team and, as special needs parents, are passionate about assisting the special needs community through Special Connections. The Northcrafts are also active members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA), combining their love for motorcycles with their faith in Jesus Christ.​
Jaime and his family currently reside in New Cumberland, WV, where he also manages his own small business.

DEACON
Ben Ramsey
Ben grew up and has lived in the Wintersville/Richmond area his entire life. He attended Indian Creek schools and then Youngstown State University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology. Ben has worked for Richmond Engineering Works since 2009 doing programming, troubleshooting, and electrical designs in the industrial and oil & gas sectors.
In 2013 Ben met his now wife, Jaime. In 2014 they got married, and in 2016 they welcomed their daughter Annalise into the world. In December 2021 they brought their son Santiago home from Colombia.
Ben loves spending time with them and watching the kids grow through different stages of their life. He enjoys being outside and working on anything mechanical.
Ben is so thankful for meeting Jaime because she lead him to understand the true meaning of salvation, and his love for Jesus has been growing ever since. The first Bible verse Ben memorized was 2 Timothy 1:7. One of his favorite Bible stories is the one of Jesus walking on water. Ben and Jaime have been attending Crossroads since 2014.

DEACON
Mike Stellfox
Mike and his family have been coming to Crossroads since they moved to the area in 2010. He was baptized at Crossroads in June of 2013.
He has served in the Kingdom Men, men's ministry group. He has served in the community as vice president of the Tri-State Girl's Softball League from 2018-2023. Mike helped support Upwards as a football referee for 4 years.​
His family has a passion for music, he has served in the church as part of the tech team for the past 3 years, and his family enjoys going to 100's of concerts. Their favorite vacation is a yearly trip in Nashville for the K-Love Music Awards.

DEACON
John Wardle
John first confessed his sin and accepted Jesus to be his savior at the age of 13. Since then, there have been some highs and lows, but Jesus has been faithful through them all. One of his favorite verses is Psalm 86:11.​
He has been married to his wife, Rachel, since April 6th, 1998. They have been faithfully serving at Crossroads Christian Church since 2010.​
He has been very active in missions trips and as part of our Building Relationships ministry.

DEACON
George Woods
George Woods came to Crossroads in mid 2017. After attending several services, George gave his life to Christ. On Sept. 14, 2018 George, along with his wife and family, was baptized. He has dedicated his life to help in the youth program and in community service.
George retired from Wintersville Police Department where he served for 22 years as a D.A.R.E. officer and retired with the rank of Sergeant. He also served his country as a Marine.

George lives in Bloomingdale, Ohio with his wife Debbie. They have a daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren, who he is extremely proud of.
